T55 Engine Systems and Components OEM Liason Engineering Support for the Corpus Christi Army Depot

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation intends to extend an existing Requirements Type service contract SPE4AX-21-D-0014 with Honeywell International, Inc. CAGE 99193 for up to six-months under the authority of FAR 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services. This contract provides Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) engineering support for the T55 engine to include an on-site resident engineer, reach back engineering support from Honeywell’s home office, testing, and engine correlation support.

The acquisition was unrestricted using Other than Full and Open Competition under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304 (c )(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The acquisition was restricted to the only source of supply with the capability of providing the specific T-55 engineering services the government required.

If the government exercises all 6-months that is allowed per FAR 52.217-8, the final expiration date of the contract will be November 9, 2024. This is not a formal Request for Proposal under FAR Part 12 or 15 or Invitation for Bid under FAR Part 14. If parties choose to respond, any costs associated with preparation or submission of data or any other costs incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the government.
