Privacy
Reading Abierto needs no account and tells us very little about you. Joining the waitlist tells us your email address and whatever else you choose to add. This page says what happens to both.

When you read the site
Google Analytics counts visits, the pages read and the searches run, and Microsoft Clarity records how pages are clicked and scrolled, so we know what to build. A notice at the bottom of the page asks before anything goes further:
- Accept lets both services set their cookies and lets Google use the visit to measure and improve our ads.
- No thanks turns their cookies off. Google then counts the visit from a ping that carries no identifier.
- Until you choose, nothing is shared for advertising, and visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are counted without cookies.
Your answer is kept in your browser, not on our servers. Change it any time with Cookie settings, also in the footer.
Cloudflare, which serves the site, keeps request logs for security and troubleshooting. We do not use them to identify readers.
When you join the waitlist
We keep:
- your email address;
- anything you add on the confirmation page: name, company, role, team size, NAICS codes, the plan you expect to need, what you would use first, and your note;
- which page and which button you signed up from, the campaign tags in that page's address (utm_ parameters) if any, and your browser's user agent;
- a one-way, keyed hash of your IP address, used only to stop one address from flooding the list. The address itself is not stored.
For one day after you sign up, a cookie in your browser holds a random token that lets the confirmation page add your answers to your entry. It is removed once you save them.
What we use it for
- To invite you when accounts open, and to write to you about the launch.
- To decide who to invite first and what to build first.
- To keep bots and abuse off the list.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If you never open an account, we delete your entry no later than 24 months after accounts open.
Your choices
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. To see what we hold about you, correct it or delete it, write to hello@abierto.us from the address on the list. We answer within 30 days.
If you live in California or another state with a consumer privacy law, you have these rights under it too. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it, and we do not use sensitive personal information.
Names in public records
Vendor names, contracting officers and points of contact on Abierto come from SAM.gov and USAspending, which publish them as public records. If something about you is wrong or should not be shown, write to hello@abierto.us. See also the data page.
Children
Abierto is for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes, and people on the waitlist are told by email before paid accounts open.
