Terms of use
Short, because there is not much to agree to yet: the site is free to read and the waitlist commits you to nothing. Paid accounts will come with their own terms, published before anyone is charged.
Who you are dealing with
Abierto is run by Global Tech Operations, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. It is not affiliated with the United States Government, the General Services Administration, SAM.gov or USAspending.gov.
The public records
Notices and awards come from SAM.gov and USAspending.gov, which are works of the United States Government and in the public domain. What Abierto adds (the joins, the pages, the summaries of the data) is offered under CC0: use it as you like. A link back is appreciated, not required.
The records are shown as they were published and as we rebuilt them, without warranty. Agencies amend notices and deadlines, and a rebuild can lag the source by a day. Always confirm a notice, its deadline and its documents on SAM.gov before you act on them.
Using the site and the API
Read, search, link, quote and build on it. Automated access is welcome through the JSON API, the Markdown and JSON versions of pages and the WebMCP tools described in llms.txt.
Do not overload the service, get around its limits or caches, probe it for vulnerabilities, or use it to break the law. We may slow or block traffic that does.
The waitlist
- Joining is free and does not commit you to buy anything.
- The plans, features and prices on the pricing page are what we intend to launch with. They may change before launch; if they do, people on the list hear first.
- We invite people in the order they joined, a small group at a time, and may leave out entries that look automated or abusive.
Not advice
Nothing on Abierto is legal, accounting or procurement advice. Summaries and figures help you read the record; they do not replace reading the solicitation or asking the contracting officer.
Liability
The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Global Tech Operations, LLC is not liable for losses that come from relying on it, including a missed deadline or a lost bid, and its total liability to you for the free service is limited to one hundred US dollars.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. If they change, the date at the top changes. Questions: hello@abierto.us.
