Notice of Intent to Sole Source: Hematology Analyzer

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The U.S. Government currently intends to award a supply contract to provide a hematology analyzer on a SOLE SOURCE basis for the Department of Pathology at Bayne-Jones Community Hospital (BJAHC) at Fort Polk, LA.

Period of Performance:

Base: 01 October 2025 – 30 September 2026 with four (4) twelve month option years. The proposed contract number will be awarded on a sole source Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) action to:

Lincolnshire, IL 60069 Description of Services or Supplies: The product is a hematology analyzer, an automated instrument used in clinical laboratories to perform complete blood counts (CBCs) and other hematological tests. This includes analyzing blood samples to determine parameters such as red blood cell count, white blood cell count, platelet count, hemoglobin, hematocrit, and differential white blood cell counts.

The analyzers may also offer additional features like reticulocyte counting, immature granulocyte analysis, and other specialized tests depending on the model. This sole source requirement is issued under the statutory authority of FAR 13.501-(a)(1)(ii): sole source (including brand name) under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items.

This notice does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
