Intoxilyzer 9000

SOLE SOURCE/NOTICE OF INTENT The 502d Contracting Squadron, 395 B Street West Suite 2, Joint Base San Antonio Randolph (JBSA-Randolph), TX 78150, intends to solicit and award a sole source firm-fixed-price purchase order to CMI Inc. CAGE Code 54722. The action will be executed under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services, and 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) and the attached Single Source Justification. The requirement is to provide the following:

Quantity of five Intoxilyzer 9000 brand breath alcohol testing instruments and accessories for use by the JBSA Security Forces Group. The nature of the sole source is that the Intoxilyzer 9000 is approved for use by the Texas Department of Public Safety for evidential DUI enforcement. See attached Single Source Justification for further details. This notice of intent is NOT a request for quote or proposal. However, interested parties may submit a narrative describing their capabilities and qualifications to fully meet the requirements of this notice via email to:

The information received will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Any costs incurred in submitting a capabilities statement will not be reimbursed by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
