The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Regional Procurement Office West (RPOW), Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 5, Health Service Area (HSA) 5.2, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21, on behalf of VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS), intends to issue a solicitation for a potential commercial service and supply requirement supporting the existing MEDECO Intelligent Key high-security lock, cylinder, key, and software system at VANCHCS.

VANCHCS currently uses ASSA ABLOY/MEDECO Intelligent Key products across its sites as its existing high-security lock, cylinder, key, and related software system. • 200 Intelligent Key fobs: 25 heavy-duty and 175 standard
  • 5 Integrated Programming Devices (IPDs)
  • 100 industrial-rated, moisture-resistant 32 GB micro SD cards
  • At least one MEDECO server software upgrade per year, plus critical security/functionality updates
  • 24-hour support for software issues

All supplied keys, fobs, cores, programming devices, and related components must be compatible with the Government’s existing MEDECO Intelligent Key hardware and software environment.
