Collection Management System for the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center

This is a non-personal service(s) contract to provide a system to manage physical and digital archival collections and facilitate their discovery online for the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center (USAHEC). USAHEC seeks a system, commonly referred to as a “Collection Management System” (CMS), to manage and provide access to its archival collections, comprising both digitized and non-digitized materials.

The primary objective is to design and deliver a user-centric public interface and search functionality, storage and hosting of multimedia, and record creation and maintenance for all archival materials. A flexible, functional search engine in the public user interface is the highest priority. Of secondary importance is the back end of the system where USAHEC staff can input data and track the lifecycle of the materials, from acquisition through deaccession.
