The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District (MVM) is conducting research to determine the capabilities of potential contractors to support a project requirement. The Memphis District is seeking qualified, experienced sources capable of constructing a Stringout at Ensley Engineer Yard.

The project is to replace the eastern half of the Stringout, which includes the demolition of an existing ramp, existing barges and pile clusters, dredging, construction of the eastern ramp, construction of pile clusters, a GFE landing barge, and GFE Poseidon barges to replace existing material barges that make up the current Stringout. Electrical and mechanical systems will be required in the construction of the Stringout as well.

The structure is located in McKellar Lake, running parallel with the northern border of Ensley Engineer Yard. The Contractor shall construct the new Stringout to government specifications. Portions of the contract may require the contractor to manufacture individual parts of the Stringout at another location and transport them to Ensley Engineer Yard for construction.
