Notice of Intent to Sole Source - GCQ3 Breaker Retrofit

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Soliciting from a single source, the U.S Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Walla Walla District, is issuing this special notice to inform industry of the intent to solicit on a sole source basis to Schneider Electric Buildings Critical Systems, Inc. for the supply, testing, commissioning, and shipment of (1) Schneider Electric adapter cradle for retrofitting a Square D breaker into an existing Westinghouse brand switchboard breaker cubicle.

Retrofitting the Square D breaker requires OEM manufactuer expertise for design, installation, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure complete, safe, and proper function of the new breaker in conjunction with the existing switchgear. Schneider has completed previous custom retrofitting work (W912EF20P0003) and retains proprietary drawings that will allow them to supply and service this new requirement. Onsite work will be performed at the Dworshak National Fish Hatchery (DNFH).

Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 541990, All Other Professional, Scientific and Technical Services. This notice of intent is not a formal solicitation or request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and requests for such a document will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of offers received in response to this notice.

Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in writing to Mary.L.Seiner@usace.army.mil no later than 11:00 AM PDT on September 13, 2024. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement for future requirements.
