Law Enforcement Services - Carters Lake - Murray County

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE This notice is not a solicitation announcement and will not constitute any commitment by the Government. This is a notice of intent to sole source law enforcement duties to the Murray County Sheriff’s department for Carters Lake. The estimated period of performance is 13 April 2024 through 27 October 2024; weekends only.

The anticipated award date is within the time of this posting and 5 April 2024. This is a sole source requirement in accordance with authority citation, 41 USC 253(c) (1), and Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Murray County Sheriff’s Department is being considered as the only responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements.

The Murray County Sheriff’s Office is the primary law enforcement agency within Murray County, Georgia. They are the only source available that would be able to provide both uniformed patrol officers and marked vehicles in the recreation areas located in Murray County, GA. They are also the only source with arresting authority that can provide a jail for violations of law within these specified recreation areas.

The Murray County Sheriff's Office has adequate manpower and equipment to meet this contract requirement. The services will be provided in Murray County, Georgia at Carters Lake. This is not a request for proposal and the intent of this notice is to meet regulatory discloser requirements, however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
