Description

As published on SAM.gov.

ATS EcoTower C1D2/26 ? Pneumatic, Skid-Mounted Safety Shower and Eyewash Station (or Equal)

Primary Purpose: To provide rapid, compliant, and self-contained emergency decontamination (shower and eye/face wash) in remote locations or harsh environments lacking a potable water source, specifically within hazardous areas.

???? Core System and Compliance Standards ?

Safety Compliance: Must be fully compliant with ANSI/ISEAZ358.1 (2014) standards for emergency eyewash and shower equipment, ensuring continuous flow capabilities ?

Electrical Hazard Classification: Must be certified for Class I, Division 2 (C1D2) hazardous locations to prevent ignition risks in environments where flammable gases or vapors may be present

? Water Capacity and Thermal Regulation ?

Fluid Capacity: Must include an integrated, heavy-duty insulated water storage tank with a minimum capacity of 325 gallons to guarantee a minimum of 15minutes of continuous tepid water flow. ?

Tepid Water Delivery: Must feature an integrated, electrical immersion heating system (minimum 1,200 Watts) to actively maintain stored water temperatures above the ANSI-mandated minimum of 60?F (15.6?C) in freezing or cold-weather conditions ?

Freeze Protection: Must utilize a self-regulating heat trace system to protect plumbing and supply lines from freezing down to an ambient operating temperature threshold of 0?F (-17.8?C)

???? Pneumatic Operation and Mechanical Specifications ?

Pumping System: Must utilize a pneumatically driven transfer pump (rather than electric) to deliver pressurized water to the showerhead and eyewash . This ensures complete spark-free operation in C1D2 zones and allows the unit to safely function during electrical outages via pneumatic backup ?Pneumatic Air Source Input: Must support a shop air compressor supply or specialized nitrogen tank supply with an operational pressure range of 60 to 120 PSI (recommended regulator set to 80 PSI) ?

Flow Rates: ?

Shower: Must deliver a regulated flow rate of at least 20 GPM (76 LPM) ?

Eyewash: Must deliver a regulated flow rate of at least 0.4 GPM(1.5 LPM) with an integrated protective dust/debris cover

???? Structural and Mounting Specifications ?

Skid-Mount Design: Must be built on a heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant, powder-coated steel skid frame designed for rapid deployment, positioning by forklift/crane, and high-wind structural stability. ?

Footprint and Portability: Must maintain a compact, space-saving footprint suitable for deployment in tight industrial spaces, remote airfields, or forward operating environments ?

Material Durability: All critical external piping and the showerhead assembly must be constructed from durable stainless steel or equivalent corrosion-resistant materials. ?

Controls and Activation: Must feature a highly visible, easy-to-reach mechanical pull-handle mechanism for instant, hands-free activation of the shower

? Power Requirements ?Electrical Input: Must operate on standard, readily available utility or generator power:120V, single-phase, 60Hz, 20-Amp draw (typically utilizing a NEMA 5-20 plug configuration)
