Repair Building 41011

Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Cavazos is issuing a SOLICITATION NOTICE for an Invitation for Bids (IFB) firm fixed price construction contract to convert an existing structure to a Brigade Level Headquarters. This includes but is not limited to demolition, utility work, construct new ramp, stairs and rails, reconfiguration of all infrastructure systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mass notification, and communications).

The work shall be located at Building 41011 at the intersection at W. Legends Way and N. Clear Creek Rd., Fort Cavazos, Texas. This acquisition is 100% Women Owned Certified Small Business Set Aside under NAICS 236220 (Size Standard $45.0 Million). The magnitude of the procurement is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The purpose of this project is to convert an existing structure to a Brigade Level Headquarters.

This includes but is not limited to demolition, utility work, construct new ramp, stairs and rails, reconfiguration of all infrastructure systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mass notification, and communications). The work shall be located at Building 41011 at the intersection at W. Legends Way and N. Clear Creek Rd., Fort Cavazos, Texas. Also included is miscellaneous site work to support the facility and meet code requirements.

The contractor shall provide all plant, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, supplies and transportation necessary to complete this scope of work. Except as provided elsewhere in this contract, all work shall comply with applicable State, local and Federal laws and regulations, industry and construction codes and standards, manufacturer's specifications and recommendations, and all contract special provisions, terms and conditions. All work under this contract will be performed within the confines of the Fort Cavazos Military Installation, at Fort Cavazos, TX.

Construction Type:

Building County: Bell County in Texas, will govern work under this contract. The bid guarantee in the amount shall be at least 20% of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. Performance and payment bonds must equal 100 percent of the original contract price. A organized site visit will be conducted for this procurement on 29 May 2024. Details of that site visit will be available in the solicitation.

The dates for issuing, the solicitation is 22 May 2024, bid opening 20 June 2024 and completing contract performance 300 days after contract award. The technical exhibits will be available for inspection without charge thru the Government wide Point of Entry (https://www.sam.gov). No paper copies of this solicitation are available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to all documents.
