Notice of Intent to Sole Source – Air Rescue Systems, Inc. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.

PSC: U003 EDUCATION/TRAINING- RESERVE TRAINING (MILITARY)

NAICS: 611519 Other Technical and Trade Schools with a small business set aside standard of $34M applies. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is FAR 13.106-1(b), purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold may be solicited from one source if it is determined that the circumstance of the contract deems only one source available.

Description: The Kentucky Army National Guard intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) to Air Rescue System for the UH60-L (attached) Fluid and Dynamic Hoist Training. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, or quotation which shall be reviewed for capability of performing the training by the Government.

The Government will consider responses received by the deadline set in this notice. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining how to proceed with the planned sole source acquisition for this requirement. The Government will not pay for any information, or quotes, received in response to this announcement. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 611519, with a small business size standard of $34M.

A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Department. Note Air Rescue equipment must be Airworthiness (AWR) Approved with Certificate of traceability to the original manufacturer. AWR ensures safety compatibility with the host aircraft.
