Sole Source Award of P-19 Striker Parts IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i)

The Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center Contracting Office located in Alpena, MI has awarded a firm-fixed price contract, W50S86-24-P-A014, on a sole source basis to MacQueen Equipment, LLC, CAGE: 1JZ62, under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901, IAW

FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) Only one source is reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization. This is an Award Notice under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Synopsis of the Proposed Contract Action was not required IAW

FAR 5.202(a)(2). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332919: Other Metal Valve and Pipe Fitting Manufacturing, with a delivery requirement of 14 days after receipt of contract. The size standard is 750 employees. The CRTC's P-19 Striker failed its annual pump test. This failure put the base's ability to respond to emergencies at risk and the acquisition of the Oshkosh compatible valve, pipe couplings, and controller was needed in order to get the vehicle operational. Failure to remedy the issue renders the Alpena CRTC Fire Department incapable of responding, specifically, to an aircraft fire on the runway and could result in serious injury to the government. IAW

FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available, such as with urgent requirements. Additionally, IAW
