The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)/Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS)/Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) intends to award a sole source Purchase Order to Scentry Biologicals, Inc /SAM ID:

QR8JYWNT3G19 CAGE Code: 3NUJ7 for an urgent purchase of 100,000 cue lures to support fruit fly quarantines in California. The Cue Lure chemical insect attractant dispensers are used to capture certain species of exotic fruit flies of concern to U.S. agriculture.

The Cue Lure dispenser is a primary surveillance tool used to detect new entries of Cue Lure-responding flies, such as Queensland fruit fly (Qfly, Bactrocera tryoni), Zeugodacus tau, and melon fly (Z. cucurbitae) and to delimit transient introduced populations of these species. PPQ needs to procure this product immediately to ensure these critical trapping and survey activities can continue uninterrupted. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored.

However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services to the Contracting Officer by 8:00am (MST) on the closing date of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient specifications and detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement.

Responses received after the response date or without the required information will be deemed nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered.
