Railroad Switch/Production Tamper

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR SOLICITATION PANROC-24-P-007426 The Army Contracting Command – Rock Island (ACC-RI) has a requirement for a Railroad Utility Tamper and this Request for Information is being used to support market research. The supply description is "Brand Name or Equal" for the Harsco Mark IV Switch/Production Tamper.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 336510 – Railroad Rolling Stock Manufacturing and the federal supply code for this procurement is 2230 – Right-of-Way Construction and Maintenance Equipment, Railroad. The Government anticipates award of a firm-fixed-price contract. The brand name or equal salient characteristics are listed in Attachment 0001. The contractor will be required to deliver the tamper to McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, McAlester, OK and set it up.

Please note: If a contractor provides a quote on a brand name basis, the contractor MUST be an authorized distributor of Harsco Rail Equipment to be considered for the brand name. All contractors who are authorized distributors of Harsco Rail Equipment must submit their certification and the business size standard under NAICS 336510 with their quote.

If a contractor provides a quote as an equal item, the contractor MUST provide salient characteristics in their quote for evaluation to determine whether the item is equal and in accordance with the requirements.
