Notice of Intent to Sole Source: Cost Per Test (CPT): Blood Bank Reagent Testing Supplies for Transfusion Services

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The U.S. Government currently intends to award a supply contract to provide blood bank reagent testing supplies for transfusion services on a SOLE SOURCE basis for the Department of Pathology at Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital (BJACH) at Fort Polk, LA.

Period of Performance:

Base: 01 October 2025 – 30 September 2026 with four (4) twelve month option years. The proposed contract number will be awarded on a sole source Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) action to:

Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, INC 1001 US Highway 202 Raritan, NJ 08869 Description of Services or Supplies: The product is a one (1) fully automated transfusion analyzer system and one (1) independent workstation (inclusive of instruments, ancillary equipment, maintenance, services, repairs, support, parts as required to maintain the systems in optimal operating condition, and any installation and removal, at no extra cost to the Government).

This sole source requirement is issued under the statutory authority of FAR 13.501-(a)(1)(ii): sole source (including brand name) under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
