Description

As published on SAM.gov.

This is a purchase / replacement / upgrade of an existing Neurotologic Testing Center (NOTC) (also referred to as a Vestibular Rotational Chair) currently manufactured by Neurolign by Spryson America, Inc (Pittsburgh, PA). The replacement Neurotologic Testing Center for Rotation (NOTC-R) is a next-generation vestibular rotational assessment device capable of providing 100% digital stimulus delivery and analysis for evaluating vestibular function.

This equipment is essential when comprehensively quantifying vestibular physiology. Rotational testing is a principal component when performing a comprehensive vestibular assessment and is critical to profiling both central and peripheral physiology for clinical and neuroscience research (e.g., Traumatic Brain Injury, Gaucher Disease, MS). The NOTC-R is manufactured and distributed exclusively by Neurolign by Spryson America, Inc (Pittsburgh, PA).

This purchase is replacing (and upgrading) an existing NOTC system that was purchased in March of 2008 (16 years) and was recently sunsetted by Neurolign in October of 2022 due to increasing uncertainty in acquisition of engineering components that are no available should they fail.

As such, continued Maintenance & Service Software Agreements were terminated by Neurolign in October of 2022. While Neurolign by Spryson America, Inc have continued to offer calibration and repair service to existing NOTCs (when parts are available), Neurolign acknowledges that certain engineering and computer components essential to the operation of the NOTC are no longer available and certain replacement parts can no longer be guaranteed.
