JIATF-S Bldg 290 & 291 Roof Replacement and Landscaping Irrigation System Replacement

This project for Joint Interagency Task Force - South (JIATF-S) located at Truman Annex, Naval Air Station, Key West, FL, is to replace two aging roofs on Buildings 290 & 291, and to replace the landscaping irrigation system. A breakdown of the tasks are below:

Bldgs 290 & 291 Roof Replacement - Involves the complete removal and replacement of the existing modified bitumen roofing systems on Buildings 290 and 291. The turnkey scope includes demolition and disposal of the current roofing materials, including all associated flashing, drip edges, gutters, and downspouts. New fully adhered white EPDM membrane roofing systems will be installed, complete with new insulation, flashing, and drainage components, and will include a 20-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Landscaping Irrigation System Replacement - Involves the complete replacement of the existing landscape irrigation system serving the same site. This turnkey effort will involve the Contractor securing the services of a landscape architect for the design of the various locations. The project will involve removal of the existing piping, conduits, valves, and controllers. A new water-efficient programmable irrigation system will be installed, designed with various independently controlled zones, for each building.

The system will include updated distribution lines, automated controllers, and power/water connections. The system will be fully tested and commissioned to ensure performance and reliability.
