Main Engine Cylinder (MEC) Assemblies

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ anticipates the award of a Firm Fixed-Price contract as a sole source for the procurement of Main Engine Cylinder (MEC) Assemblies from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Bosch Rex-Roth (CAGE H7894) in support of the NAWCAD Lakehurst, on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ 08733. If the Launch and Recovery Program had to select another source, there would be a substantial duplication of costs.

This would also have a negative impact on mission capabilities, create logistical strains of work-around, and cost impacts not foreseen due to testing and approving a new source’s design. THIS PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government is not obligated to, and will not, pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis.

There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for, or award, a contract. Responses must be received within fifteen (15) days of publication of this notice via email no later than 21 November 2025 at 12:00P.M. EDT to Danielle Russo at danielle.m.russo4.civ@us.navy.mil.
