RTWS Termination

The Performance Work Statement for this award is not publicly releasable. However, below is a brief description of what was being procured. Commercial Contract N42158-23-P-S161 was awarded to Bering Straits Global Innovations, LLC, an 8(a) Alaska Native corporation, for Expediter Coordinator services Norfolk Naval Shipyard. On March 24, 2025, Norfolk Naval Shipyard C500 sent an email requesting the termination of contract N42158-23-P-S161 for the convenience of the government.

C500 concluded that the service was no longer necessary following the release of NAVSEAINST 4400, the Overarching Naval Shipyard Supply Policy, in July 2024. This policy transferred all expediting functions at Norfolk Naval Shipyard to DLA Land & Maritime. As a result of losing these functions within the current Area of Responsibility (AOR), C500's workload no longer justified the need for the services outlined in the contract.
