N00164-25-Q-0704 – SOLE SOURCE – BRAND NAME ONLY – LAN SHACK (OEM) QUICKTREX CORNING FIBER OPTIC CABLE ASSEMBLY– FSG 7G21 - NAICS 335921 ISSUE DATE JUNE 20, 2025 – CLOSING DATE JUNE 27, 2025 – 12:00 AM Eastern Time ITEM DESCRIPTION- Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has a requirement for QuickTrex corning fiber optic cable assembly in support of NSWC Crane RDTE, SRDTE, NMCI, NIPR/SIPR Network.

SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT- The proposed contract action is for the supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, Lan Shack, Toms River, NJ), under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. This is being sole sourced because QuickTrex corning fiber optic cable asssemblies are currently in use throughout NSWC Crane Base. QuickTrex represents a form, fit and function solution to the existing NSWC Crane fiber network.

QuickTrex cable will maintain consistency and seamlessly allow repair of the existing fiber and the installation of new cable. QuickTrex cables have the trusted quality of the cable technicians to withstand the elements and allow for safe and easy splicing for the expansion of the base-wide fiber installation. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency.

However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Contractors must be properly registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).

This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the procedures at FAR Part 13.
