NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS NOTICE IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY.

Description: Strategic Systems Program (SSP) intends to procure and award a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) Order under BOA N0003023G6013 to Electric Boat Corporation (EB), Groton, CT to provide engineering support services for Kings Bay Trident Training Facility Installation and Testing.

This order is being awarded on a sole source basis in accordance with statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under Title 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR Part 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." Negotiations will be conducted with EB, Groton, CT.

EB is the Navy’s designated OHIO (SSBN and SSGN) and COLUMBIA class Ship Design Agent (SDA) and is the only contractor that possesses the requisite SSBN and SSGN, and associated weapon systems, design and configuration knowledge, experienced personnel, and inhouse capabilities to perform the requirements.
