N00019-26-RFPREQ-APM207-0642
Department of the Navy, Naval Air Systems Command. Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing.
Awarded
THE BOEING COMPANY Tukwila
$156,201,219.00 on the award notice, August 20, 2026, contract N0001926D1007
Description
As published on SAM.gov.
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded a firm-fixed-price economic-price-adjustment (FP-EPA), indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the procurement of up to 31 P-8A Engine Build-Up kits (18 for the Navy and 13 for Foreign Military Sales customers), including associated kit components and hardware required formatting and integration with CFM56-7B27AE core engines.
Additionally, this contract provides for the procurement of up to two Quick Engine Change kits including associated kit components, mating hardware, and attaching hardware, for integration with CFM56-7B24E core engines to create complete C-40A Clipper spare engines. Work will be performed in Tukwila, Washington, and is expected to be completed in August 2031. No funds will be obligated at the time of award; funds will be obligated on individual orders as they are issued.
Award to a source other than Boeing would result in an unacceptable delay of 3-5 years due to the Government’s inability to provide technical data to another source to design, manufacture and mate EBUs to CFM56-7B engine to enable their attachment to and integrations with the P-8A and C-40A aircraft. Additional delays testing and qualifying the airworthiness of an engine mounted to an EBU from a different source would take an additional 3-5 years and excessive cost escalation.
