The United States Marine Corps is conducting market research to identify qualified sources capable of providing remanufactured M1 Garand rifle stocks and upper hand guards that meet the specifications outlined below. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. The Marine Corps is seeking industry feedback and capability statements from vendors able to supply items that meet the exact original specifications and performance requirements necessary to support CONUS travel and ceremonial show operations. CLIN 0002 – Upper Hand Guards Quantity: 125 Each

Salient Characteristics Remanufactured to exact original M1 Garand upper hand guard specifications Unfinished wood to allow for unit?specific stain/finish application Heavy, durable bracing in the receiver heel and pistol/hand grip areas to withstand repeated CONUS travel and ceremonial performance Equipped with new, remanufactured metal sling/end caps, properly fitted to the wood to prevent loosening during performances Requested Information from Industry Interested vendors are invited to submit a capability statement addressing their ability to meet the requirements listed above. Responses should include:

Company name, CAGE code, and point of contact Production capability and lead time Past performance relevant to M1 Garand components or similar remanufactured rifle parts Confirmation that all salient characteristics can be met Any recommended industry standards or clarifications Disclaimer This RFI is for market research only. It does not obligate the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The Government will not reimburse any costs associated with responding to this notice.
