Notice of Intent to Sole Source - CAP Laboratory Proficiency Test Survey Kits

The Navajo Area Indian Health Service, Kayenta Health Center (KHC) Kayenta, Arizona, intends to negotiate a non-competitive firm-fixed-price award to College of American Pathologists, EIN Number C23QW5U7MQB6, for Laboratory Proficiency Test Survey Kits and Services as required by the Kayenta Health Center located in Kayenta, Arizona.

The Period of Performance will be from the Date of Award to December 31, 2024. In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b), College of American Pathologists is uniquely qualified to provide the required services the Laboratory Proficiency Test Survey Kits, to ensure there is no interruption in services that could have a negative impact on direct patient care. The Laboratory Proficiency Test Survey Kits will be used to test samples that is necessary for the continuing accreditation of Clinical Laboratory Services.

Also, a requirement to maintain accreditation with the Joint Commission. This notice is not a solicitation or a request for offers. Kayenta Health Center is negotiating a sole source award. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A solicitation will not be issued.
