Pituffik Space Base Air Transportation Services

Air Greenland, Nuussuaq, Greenland, was awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, fixed-price contract with a one-year base period and four one-year option periods for a value of $34,206,030.96 (estimated). Performance start date is 1 March 2024. Contract Number is HTC71124DC001.

The contractor shall provide round trip charter flights between Copenhagen, Denmark and Pituffik SB, Greenland approximately every four weeks with a capacity of at least 150 passengers and 25,000 kilograms (kg) of cargo per flight. The contractor will be authorized to recommend enroute stops upon mutual agreement between the contractor and the government.

The contractor shall provide round trip charter flights between Kangerlussuaq, Greenland and Pituffik SB, Greenland two to four times a month with a capacity of at least 30 passengers and 100 kg of cargo per flight. In addition to the above charter flights, the contractor shall provide scheduled services (non-charter) for passenger and cargo movements on an ad-hoc basis. An estimated 700 passenger movements (one-way tickets) per year will be required between Copenhagen, Denmark and Kangerlussuaq, Greenland.

An estimated 8,000 kg of cargo per year will be required to be moved between Copenhagen, Denmark and Kangerlussuaq, Greenland. Additionally, cargo will be handled in temporary refrigerated storage for movement to the aircraft for general (dry) and subsistence (chilled) cargo.
