The 355th Contracting Squadron intends to issue a sole-source procurement action with Hexagon Metrology, Inc for the procurement of the following items: All materials, labor, tools, supervision, management and transportation needed to furnish the following services: Annual Calibration Services to include all the minimal system checks (external cleaning, tracker system diagnostics for encoders, laser intensity; tracker with controller and T products FW update when applicable; re-greasing of membranes and motors optimization) for one Leica Laser Tracker AT403 and B-Probe PN: 6011846 located at the 309th Aerospace Maintenance And Regeneration Group (AMARG).

Requirement will include a base period plus (4) option years. This requirement is accomplished in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b) “Soliciting from a single source”. Hexagon Metrology, Inc. is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of Leica Laser Tracker AT403 and B-Probe PN: 6011846 which will require annual calibration services on-site at the contractor’s facility to ensure equipment meets full performance expectations.

Hexagon Metrology, Inc. does not have any third party authorized service providers for this equipment; all service work must be accomplished by the OEM. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals.

Firms who want to challenge this sole source action must submit an interest letter that demonstrates your firm’s technical expertise, certifications and authorization to compete for this acquisition as an authorized calibration services provider for this equipment. Interested parties must provide rationale as to why they should be considered.

Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The 355th Contracting Office will not reimburse for any costs connected with providing the capability information.
