The purpose of this amendment is to inform all interested vendors that the government needs for this requirement have changed. This solicitation is set to close with no vendor awarded. There will be a new solicitation posted on SAM.gov with the new requirement changes. Please look out for this posting to come.

The purpose for this amendment is to change the Offer Due Date from 10 May 2024 at 4:00 PM EST to 24 May 2024 at 4:00 PM EST to allow extra time for customer to answer questions. Attachment 7. Combo-Synopsis Sunshades Updated to match new Offer Due Date change.

GENERAL STATEMENT: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items issued by the 23d Contracting Squadron, Moody AFB, Georgia. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation being issued for the requirement described herein.

REQUIREMENT: 36 aircraft sunshades damaged by Hurricane Idalia need to be repaired. The damage ranges from structural steel tubing and cross members that have bent, canopy tension lacing has become loose or broken to 5 sunshades that experienced total canopy failure and detachment. A site survey will be necessary to inspect the amount of damage per sunshade. Please utilize additional attachments (Statement of Work and DAFI 21-101 CH 15) for more information on install requirements.

"Notice to Offeror(s)/Supplier(s): Funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs."

SITE VISIT: A site visit will be held on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024 at 1:00 PM EST. While attendance is not mandatory, it is highly recommended. Vendors are encouraged to inspect the site in order to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance to the extent that information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.

Please arrive at the Moody Air Force Base Visitor's Center no later than 12:30 PM EST for check-in (required for all contractors prior to entering the base) to ensure on time arrival for the site visit. For completing the attached base pass forms please put your business name next to the "Prime Contractor" spot (where ABCD is present).

Replace the name John Doe with the full name of the member requesting base access for the site visit, include date of birth (SSN is NOT to be added on the form but may be needed for check-in) and company for all additional members that may be attending.

When complete, email the base pass to cloud.wharton@us.af.mil no later than Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 1000 AM EST. Per FAR reference 52.212-2 The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: technical capability, price, past performance.

When sending in offer, please include a capability statement consisting of specific plans for repairs to include material types and the planned approach for repairs per sunshade needing repair.
