NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The 60th Contracting Office, Travis AFB, CA 94535 intends to award a sole source contract to BOSTON SCIENTIFIC CORP under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a)(1)(ii), sole source, for the FDA approved TheraSphere doses product, which is a liver cancer therapy that consists of millions of small glass microspheres containing radioactive Y90 and who has the only FDA approved treatment for Primary liver cancer.

TheraSphere is indicated for use in radiation treatment or as a neoadjuvant to surgery or transplantation in patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) who can have placement of appropriately positioned hepatic arterial catheters. These supplies are needed to treat liver cancer patients in the Regional Health Command Central (RHC-C). The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 325412, Pharmaceutical Preparation Manufacturing. The small Business Size standard is 1,250 employees.

The period of performance for contract award will be base year of September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025, with four option years. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements.

Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by 05 August 2024 10:00 a.m. (PST). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to nadine.umunyana.1@us.af.mil.
