Notice of Intent- Sole Source Award- Urgent JBSA Lackland Chiller Compressor Replacement

The 502d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA)- Lackland, TX intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order to Texas Chiller Systems, LLC.(CAGE: 4HPH3) under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i).

In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, the Contracting Officer (CO) may solicit from one source if the CO determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g. urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brandname or industrial mobilization). THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A SOLICITATION, REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE.

Interested persons may identify their interest and capabilities for fulfilling this requirement. Information received will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement and is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Interested parties stating capability shall provide the following products and services to the current Stulz chiller system in place: HVAC certified technician shall remove and replace (2) scroll compressors on chiller Unit A and restore unit to normal operating conditions. Technician shall provide troubleshooting report for Chiller Unit B. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged.

Pursuant to FAR 13.501(a)iii, Special Documentation Requirements, the formal Justification and Approval for this action shall be posted on this site within 14-days after contract award. Oral communications will not be accepted in response to this notice.
