NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SINGLE SOURCE CONTRACT The Space Acquisition and Integration Office (SAIO) intends to award a Single Source Purchase Order to University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill, Cb 3490 McCool Building, Chapel Hill, NC 27599, for the purposes of providing a one-week classroom seminar that is taught directly by UNC staff. SAIO will utilize Simplified Acquisition Procedures.

The authority for soliciting a single source under simplified acquisition procedures is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting Competition, which states that contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization). The proposed contract action is Single Source only.

This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation. No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government.
