Laboratory Fume Hood Certifications

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration intends to award a sole source purchase order to Siemens Industry, Inc. to perform annual service to certify laboratory fume hoods for use. All communication regarding this posting shall be in writing and be received by the archive date of this notice effective 05/21/2024 at 12:00 pm EST. The proposed purchase order is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate only with Siemens Industry, Inc. In accordance with Competition in Contracting Act, 41 USC 253(c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, other than full and open competition is authorized when there is only one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy agency requirements.

The following FAR Part 12.3 provisions and clauses are applicable to this acquisition: 52.212-4 (Dec 2022) Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items and 52.212-5 (Mar 2023) Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541990. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price purchase order. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotation. A Request of Quotation (RFQ) is not available.

In the event that proposals are received, award will be determined by identifying the offeror that provides a technically acceptable quote for the lowest evaluated price. This is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ). Any source capable of providing the service may submit proposals electronically. Please send all proposals to Donita.L.Hood@dea.gov.
