• The Johnson Controls, Inc. Metasys Building Automation system was installed throughout the campus to provide critical monitoring and control of room temperatures, humidity’s, lighting and animal bedding and feed distribution. This system ensures that proper scientific criteria is established and maintained during research projects.

In order to ensure continued reliability of information, in accordance with AAALAC accreditation and research requirements, this system must be maintained in proper working order 24 hours per day, 365 days per year and ensuring that emergency response can be acquired at any time. • The Johnson Controls Pegasys (P)ersonal (A)ccess (C)ontrol (S)ystem provides secure controlled and monitored access throughout the NIEHS facility in the form of secured doors with card readers and door contacts.

The Pegasys PACS system provides real time access monitoring and alarm monitoring through workstations located throughout the facility at Security Posts and Security Operations Centers.
