Emergency cut/removal of steel aid wreckage in Horseshoe Beach

The US Coast Guard Office of Procurement & Contracting Miami Detachment (LOG 93), on behalf of U.S. Coast Guard Sector Aids to Navigation Team St. Petersburg, FL intends to award an urgent sole source firm-fixed price service award to cut and remove all steel Aton wreckage at Horseshoe Beach. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials and equipment to cut and remove steel wreckage at Horseshoe Beach.

Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objective of cutting and removing damages steel wreckage which is currently a hazard to navigation at Horseshoe Beach. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government.

The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. Coast Guard Aids to Navigation Team St. Petersburg has worked closely with many dive companies in the AOR and has determined the removal of this wreckage is critical to the safe navigation for boaters transiting through Horseshoe Beach water. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals.

Scope of Supplies needed: The contractor shall furnish: Dive crew, boat and necessary materials to cut/remove steel wreckage from bottom of Horseshoe Beach. Applicable NAICS code: 561990
