TMSS Aerostat Operations and Support Services

CBP, and specifically the Air and Marine Operations (AMO) and U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) law enforcement (LE) operational customers, is fielding new tactical aerostat surveillance capabilities and opportunities to increase border domain awareness. The LE customer’s objectives are to deter illicit activities and to develop improved tactics, techniques, and procedures to counter criminal organizations and related illicit activities (e.g., illegal immigration, smuggling and drug trafficking, human exploitation).

Toward these ends, CBP is capitalizing on successful technology demonstrations and acquiring, integrating, deploying, operating, and sustaining tactical surveillance systems at key border regions.
