The FAA authority for single source procurements is provided by the FAA’s Acquisition Management System (AMS) policy section 3.2.2.4. Rational Basis for Use of Single Source Award Procedures: Clear Align is the only known source that can provide the required procurement of (17 ea) Z600 MWIR Camera (50-600mm Continuous Zoom) Standard Definition Hot Detector and satisfy the requirement within the needed timeframe.
