This is a Notice of Intent published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-5(c)(2)(ii) requiring the dissemination of information regarding proposed contract actions.
This Notice of Intent is for a proposed award of a sole source, firm-fixed price contract under the authority of 38 USC 8127(c), as implemented by 819.7008 Sole source awards to verified service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 23 intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to The Maclean Group LLC for the Philips Intellivue MX750 Patient Monitor and Accessories in support of the Central Iowa VA Health Care System. The Department of Veterans Affairs requires the The Maclean Group LLC upgraded equipment to ensure the safety of the veterans in accordance with 41 U.S.C.
3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) - Only One Source has an indefinite delivery vehicle with the Philips Intellivue MX750 Patient Monitor and Accessories The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 339112 and the service code is 6515. While this synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the requirement.
All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The Government understands that Philips Intellivue MX750 Patient Monitor and Accessories is the only SDVOSB vendor that can provide the Philips Intellivue MX750 Patient Monitor and Accessories under a Federal Supply Schedule.
However, vendors that believe they can provide the capabilities required to fully meet the Government's requirement may submit information in writing to marie.weathers@va.gov by 10:00 AM Central Time 05/14/2025. Such documentation will be reviewed solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct the procurement on a competitive basis. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
