This announcement constitutes the only notice of intent to sole source and synopsis of proposed action.

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 21 located at 3237 Peacekeeper Way, Bldg. 200, Suite 204, McClellan Park, CA 95652-2609, on behalf of the San Francisco VA Healthcare System located at 4150 Clement Street, San Francisco, CA 94121, shall be awarding a contract on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) Limiting Sources to SunGro Products, LLC. LOS ANGELES, CA 90021 Phone: 213-747-4125 Contractor shall provide: The Contractor shall provide personnel, management, equipment, tools, supplies, and transportation to perform heating, cooling, and boiler chemical water treatment equipment services for the SFVAHCS.

This contract encompasses HVAC and boiler systems located 4150 Clement St., San Francisco, CA 94121. The objective for performance under this contract is to provide the best practical chemical water treatment to reduce corrosion rate and mitigate legionella bacterial growth associated with the HVAC and Boiler closed-loop systems and cooling towers in accordance with VA Directives 1810 and 1061. Consulting and System Modernization: Monthly reports shall contain a short summary of such suggestions and note any adjustments to chemical feed rates.

Recommendations for other than minor changes to the VA s systems shall require stand-alone reports. The Contractor shall provide Water Chemistry Training to all Boiler Plant Operators and other select Operations and Maintenance personnel.

The equipment installed in these facility systems and the products used in the water treatment of these services are proprietary in nature to SunGro Products does not authorize third-party entities to perform maintenance, services, their equipment and the use of different chemical compounds/products in water treatment will void the warranty on the equipment as well as void any guarantee of reduction in corrosion rates or mitigation of legionella bacteria.

The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 561210, with a small business size standard of $41.5 million, and the FSC/PSC is J045.
