This an intent to Sole Source Notice issued by the Network Contracting Office 16 at 5075 Westheimer Road, Suite 750 Houston, Texas 77056. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Ortho Clinical Diagnostics at 1001 US Highway 202, Raritan, NJ 08869 for a base year and 4 option years for the procurement of Ortho Clinical Diagnostics reagents and supplies required to be compatible with the VA Alexandria Healthcare System, 2495 Shreveport Highway, Pineville, LA 71360 Ortho Manual Gel System.

Ortho Clinical Diagnostics is the proprietor of the reagents for the Ortho Manual GEL System and there are no known authorized distributors of Ortho Clinical Diagnostics reagents and supplies.

Physicians rely on these test results in the treatment of patients with anemia, leukemia, factor deficiency, bleeding disorders, immunocompromised patients needing a blood transfusion, etc. Any other brand will result in duplication of costs and delay in conducting necessary tests to maintain adequate Veterans healthcare support. Responses to this notice are requested by 20 March 2024 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
