The Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a qualified contractor to provide repair and replacement services for cooling tower components and associated equipment. All work shall account for equipment degradation, environmental conditions, and safe accessibility in accordance with proper operations and maintenance practices.

The contractor shall:

• Procure new drift eliminators and all listed replacement components for the cooling towers.
• Deliver all materials to the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center, Gainesville, FL.
• Install new drift eliminators, replacement panels, and all specified components.
• Provide all additional parts, materials, and equipment necessary to restore both cooling towers to full operational condition in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

This effort will be performed at the Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida.

  1. BAC Cooling Tower – Model BAC 3728A, Three (3) Cells
    The contractor shall remove defective components, install new replacement parts, and verify proper operation of each cooling tower cell. Any additional parts required to meet manufacturer specifications shall be furnished by the contractor.

Required Replacement Components:
• Quantity 3 – Shaft Assembly Kits (shaft, bearings, bushing, hardware)
• Quantity 3 – Fan Assemblies
• Quantity 3 – Cooling Tower Rated Motors
• Quantity 3 – Belts
• Quantity 3 – Motor Sheaves
• Quantity 3 – Fan Sheaves
• Quantity 6 – Sealer Tape (for leak mitigation)

  1. EVAPCO Cooling Tower – Model CTSN 8 351974, Six (6) Cells
    The contractor shall remove defective components, install new parts, and restore the cooling tower to full manufacturer operating specifications. All removed components must be properly disposed of off-site. The contractor shall also ensure safe access to framed louvers and other components requiring service.

• Quantity 4 – OEM Cooling Tower Motors
• Quantity 6 – OEM Belts
• Quantity 5 – Shaft Assembly Kits (shaft, bearings, bushing, hardware)
• Quantity 2 – Fill Media
• Quantity 2 – Drift Eliminator Kits
• Quantity 32 – Framed Louvers
