QA Measurement Devices & QA System for Stereotactic Treatments INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE SUN NUCLEAR CORP The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 intends to award a sole source purchase to SUN NUCLEAR CORP for specialized Quality Assurance (QA) measurement devices used for stereotactic treatment verification and daily linear accelerator QA.

These devices are required to meet AAPM TG 101, TG 218, TG 142, and MPPG 8b standards and must be fully compatible with the existing Varian TrueBeam equipment and SunCheck Quality Assurance software used by the facility. This requirement is supported by the salient characteristics provided by the Program Office, which specify proprietary compatibility features and performance criteria unique to SUN NUCLEAR CORP devices.

The proposed action is being conducted under the authority of RFO 6.103 1. SUN NUCLEAR CORP is the sole manufacturer of these QA systems and associated software integrations and is the only source capable of meeting the required specifications. Any company that can legally provide equivalent equipment meeting all salient characteristics should submit a capability statement including the following:
