Notice of Intent to Sole Source Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Network Contracting Office (NCO XX) Washington DC VA Medical Center 50 Irving Street NW Washington, DC 20422 Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office XX (NCOXX), hereby provides notice of its intent to award a single-source, firm-fixed price purchase order as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, to: GE PRECISION HEALTHCARE LLC Period of Performance: 10/01/2026 09/30/2027 Description of Requirement: The VA Washington DC Medical Center requires comprehensive service and maintenance support for General Electric (GE) medical imaging equipment. The contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, software/hardware updates, and all other items and services necessary to perform routine and corrective maintenance, including parts, in accordance with OEM specifications and the provided Statement of Work. Services include: Preventative maintenance in accordance with OEM requirements On-site corrective repair with a one-hour response to inquiries and four-hour maximum on-site response Software and hardware updates and patching Use of only OEM-certified parts and OEM-trained technicians Immediate remediation for recalls and alerts Reporting, documentation, and remote technical support Compliance with all VA information security and PHI/PII safeguarding requirements Rationale for Sole Source: The required services and maintenance to the specified GE imaging equipment can only be effectively provided by an OEM-authorized contractor with OEM-certified parts, software, and OEM-trained technicians, as stipulated in the Statement of Work. Use of non-OEM parts or uncertified technicians could compromise patient safety, effective operation of critical medical imaging equipment, and warranty or OEM coverage. In addition, only an OEM-authorized provider can guarantee timely access to OEM updates, recall remediation, and technical support, as well as the ability to meet VA information security requirements applicable to sensitive patient data.
