Smithsonian Institution - Vertical Transportation Inspection Services

This announcement is open to all businesses regardless of size. The contract awarded will be a Firm Fixed Price.

The Smithsonian intends to contract with a firm to perform periodic, routine, acceptance inspections and tests for all of the vertical transportation and coveyance equipment at the Smithsonai Institution facilities within the Washington, DC Metropolitan area and New York City, to include passenger and freight elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters, side-walk lifts, special lifts, material lifts, wheelchair lifts, loading dock lifts and levelers.

The Period of Performance is one year for the Base Contract with an additional 9 optional one-year periods. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will consist of two parts: Part One - Technical Proposal, in which the Offerors establishes their qualifications in accordance with the criterial listed in the SOW and Section L; and Part Two - Cost Proposal. Questions pertaining to this RFP will be entertained through July 29, 2024. All questions must be submitted in writhing via email to Jasmine Price at pricej@si.edu. Contractors must be registered in sam.gov prior to award.
