The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), Big Spring, Texas, intends to issue solicitation 15B50324Q00000002, for the requirements of a: Hydronic Boiler. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Please carefully follow all instructions located in the solicitation package concerning content, format, and submission of quotes.
This solicitation is restricted to 100% Small Business, FOB Destination, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 333414; the small business size standard for Government procurement is 500 employees. Deliveries will be made to the Federal Correctional Institution, Big Spring, 1900 Simler Dr., Big Spring, Texas 79720. The contract type is a firm-fixed price.
The Government will award to the responsible offeror(s) whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, that are considered to be most advantageous to the Government, with past performance, technical specifications, delivery schedule, and price reviewed equally. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a written quote which will be considered for award.
The solicitation will be made available on or about January 26, 2024. The date for receipts of quotes is February 2, 2024, before 1:00 PM, CST. All potential quoters are advised that this solicitation includes the clause FAR 52.212-4 for Commercial items. Quoters should include their Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number in their quotes on page 1, block 20. The Contracting Officer will verify registration in the SAM database prior to award by entering the potential awardees UEI number into the SAM database.
Failure to complete the registration procedures outlined in this clause may result in elimination from consideration for award. For the purpose of this solicitation, all quoters SAM registration should include NAICS code 333414. The PTAC Texas was authorized by Congress in 1985, in an effort to expand the number of businesses capable of participating in the Government marketplace. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the SAM website at https://www.sam.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available.
