This is for a firm fixed price contract, which consists of sourcing, delivery, and monthly rental of two 500-ton cooling towers, they must be capable to operate off two 400-amp electrical services. These are to be delivered to FCI Greenville Illinois. Your quote must include (at a minimum) the following:
1) Specification of each item quoted 2) Price per unit of each item 2a)Rental price per unit must be no longer than 1 week Award will be based on a best value trade off determination in which price, specifications, past performance, and will be reviewed. Please see the attachments for detailed requirements. Pictures added 2/2/2024 Questions: Approximately how much pipe and wire are estimated to be provided by the contractor?
This is an estimate only, but approximately 50 feet of pipe and approximately 100 feet of wire. Approximate Gallons Per Minute? 3000gpm Are pumps needed to be provided? We have pumps on site. Is the drain a sump? Yes, you will be draining into a sump. Distance to electrical and piping connections? This is an estimate only, but approximately 50 feet of pipe and approximately 100 feet of wire. Pipe Connection Size? 8-inch piping connections. How many tons? 1000 tons of cooling capacity. Inlet and outlet temps?
Inlet 85-90°F, Outlet 70-75°F What is the application? To work with two 500-ton chillers to cool a prison facility while permanent chillers are installed. Available power for these units? Two 400-amp electrical service connections will be provided. Have source for makeup water? Yes, a source for make-up water is available. Would a single 1,000-ton unit be acceptable in place of two 500-ton units?
If a 1000-ton unit has a similar footprint and is able to make 8-inch water connections and operate off two 400-amp electrical services that would be acceptable. Are the (2) 500-ton cooling towers going to be used on one common condenser loop or separate condenser loops? The two cooling towers will work with one chilled water loop. Will facility do the final electrical or water connection or it the responsibility of the contractor?
It is the responsibility of the contractor to make electrical and water connections (our maintenance dept can make final electrical connections at the service box). All water connections must be made by contractor.
