VisionMate HSX High Speed Barcode Reader and Accessory

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER and is not a request for competitive proposals.

The Department of Commerce/NOAA/National Marine Fisheries Service/Office of Law Enforcement, has a requirement for a quantity of 2 VisionMate HSX High Speed 2D Barcode Plate Readers (Model #312850) with 2 VisionMate Linear Barcode Reader Accessory (AB-1860) which include VisionMate Suite Software which can integrate with Freezerworks Ascent Sample Management System, vendor Nalge Nunc International, Rochester, NY 14625. The award will be made using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(A), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, and Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(2).

The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the business size standard is 1000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for quotes. It is for informational purposes only and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest by providing a capability statement not later than July 10, 2024 at 10:00AM(EST).

The capability statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required services. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government.

Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. No solicitation package is available.
