Great Smoky Mountain CALL AS NEEDED SLIDE RESPONSE

The National Park Service: Great Smoky Mountains NP is issuing a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

Required Services: The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials and supervision required to complete this project. The general scope of work includes removing slide debris from Park roads and developed areas to eliminate hazards to the public and staff of the park. Work shall be accomplished adjacent to the park facilities including roads, parking areas, overlooks, and pull offs throughout the park.

Contractor once contacted by Park with slide location and size up will be asked to respond with one of three previously bid on mobilization response times. This will be either 2 hours or less to be on site with the requested equipment and personnel, 2-4 hours to be on site with the requested equipment and personnel, or 4-8 hours to be on site with the requested equipment and personnel. Response time will be based on impacts to surrounding communities and Park visitors and timing of slide occurrence.

The services to be provided within this Statement of Work (SOW) consist of slide debris and Slide Scaling Activities and Removal The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price commercial services contract based on the proposal that represents the best value (LPTA) to the Government in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, FAR Par 15, Negotiations and FAR Part 19, Small Business Programs.

The applicable Classification Code for this requirement is Z2QA REP/ALTER- RESTORATION OF REAL PROPERTY CHG. The applicable NAICS Code for this requirement is 238910 Site Preparation Contractors.
