Description
As published on SAM.gov.
Amendment 1to RFQ 1333ND26QNB610465 Clarification questions:
Vendor Question 1: Could you please confirm the solids content (TSS) of the water? If this is clean water, with less than 2% TSS, please let us know so we can determine the appropriate unit for the application.
NIST Response: This water is moderately clean, not a slurry (2% TSS is closer to wastewater) but not filtered Vendor Question 2: The factory has confirmed that no software is required to configure the meter, as very few ultrasonic meters require software for configuration.
NIST Response: PC-based data logging is a nice-to-have but not a necessity.
Vendor Question 3: (clarification on the following process conditions for the primary and secondary cooling systems) Operating temperature of the process fluid (or pipe surface temperature) at the measurement points, for both the primary and secondary cooling loops. This determines whether standard or high-temperature transducers are required.
NIST Response: No higher than 114 degrees Fahrenheit.
Vendor Question 4: (clarification on the following process conditions for the primary and secondary cooling systems) Operating pressure of the cooling water at the measurement points (primary and secondary).
NIST Response: No higher than 10 psia.
Vendor Question 5: (clarification on the following process conditions for the primary and secondary cooling systems) Confirmation of the process fluid — the SOW references cooling water; please confirm it is treated water with no significant entrained solids or aeration that could affect ultrasonic signal transmission.
NIST Response: Primary – Heavy water, purified. Secondary - Water with minimal solids. Some algae to be expected but not significant. As defined in the attached Combined Synopsis Solicitation, Statement of Work and RFO Provisions and Clauses.
