Department of Defense Request for Information on Implementation of Pilot Program for Anything-As-A-Service

The Department of Defense (DoD) is seeking public comment related to the implementation of the Pilot Program for Anything-As-A-Service. Section 809 of the 2024 National Defense Authorization Act directs the Secretary of Defense to establish a pilot program to explore the use of consumption-based solutions to address DoD needs that is feasible to provide users on-demand access, quickly add newly released capabilities, and bill based on actual usage at fixed price units.

DoD welcomes comments on the proposed product service codes and any other information from the public that may be useful on the implementation of this new pilot program. DoD will take this input into account as it develops the Anything-as-a-Service Pilot Program, including refining the product service codes, and establishing the parameters for the pilot program, among other things.

Comments may be submitted via email with the subject “RFI Response to XaaS Pilot Program” no later than December 16, 2024 to Ms Paula Smith at osd.pentagon.ousd-a-s.mbx.asda-dp-c-contractpolicy@mail.mil.
